1. I believe some term limits of no more than 2 in a lifetime should be allowed for Senators, Representatives and Presidents.
2. Split all the senate (6-year term, sill) elections up where an equal number of elections for senator is held every 2 years, insuring a good checks system from the people.
3. Do the same with all representitive elections, except do those on opposite years in between the senate elections. This way, the people are always only a year at most from being able to have a say in OUR government. It would not be a bad idea even for governors races to be split up 4 ways, having a quarter of those held every year.
4. ALL state laws over-rule ALL federal laws, if there is a conflict. The federal government is supposed to be there only to HELP us as necessary. After all, that was the original intent as states joined the union.
5. ANYONE who receives ANY government assistance will not be allowed to vote while they are in that program (this includes prisoners being taken care of with tax dollars). If they receive state assistance only, they may vote only in federal elections. If they receive federal assistance, they may vote only in state and local elections, etc.
6. Every 2 years, the people have the chance to evaluate each of the 9 justices on the Supreme Court. If at least 2/3, or 66%, of the people vote to oust a sitting justice, he must leave the court for life and a new one must be chosen through the current system. As long as the justice remains under the 2/3 vote to oust every 2 years, he may stay for life. Let's see then if we get some that will actually apply the constitution and not either legislate from the bench, or interject their own morals into a case.
7. I am with many I see here, I firmly believe the voter rolls should be purged before all elections and that voters should be required to register (in person) again, at least every 4 years. That way my father, who has been in his grave for the past 13 years, will not be voting for folks that, if he knew, would make him roll over in his grave and throw up!

Folks, as my name implies, I really think that our country is currently in distress and desperately needs us to stand up, but I have all the confidence in the REAL people and the faith in GOD that it will happen and we can once again walk freely, as we should, under the "Stars and Stripes". God bless the USA.

I think from now on that when there is elections that special interest groups should not be allowed have anything to do with the elections. It should be left up to the counties to register voters and make sure only legal people votes in elections. I think the college electorial votes should be done away with because it has been abused over and over again. If they can't win an election on popular vote alone they don't need to be elected period. I don't think that the president, senate, or congress should be allowed to run over 2 terms in office. I don't think big corporate companies should be allowed to give campaign money on any one campaign. I think campaign money should come from the people and not from large companies. I think if someone is running for president they need to before they can campaign they need to turn over their birth certificates and all financial papers and their is a full background check done to make sure they have never been a part of some other radical country or even linked to one. In other words a security background check before they can campaign for any office in government. I really think to be president they should have to had spent a 6 year term in the military before running.

BEWARE, TEA PARTY PATRIOTS: "Hate Crimes Bill" is more dangerous than "Health Care Bill", and has already passed House & Senate, hidden within military funding bill. Obama hasn't signed it yet - until fighter plane funding is removed.

Great site! If you really want to get back to fundamental federalism, the 17th amendment needs immediate repeal, so that those in congress who do not follow the principles of their states issues, can be called back to them, and elections held to replace them with an individual who will put their state first, instead of those who contribute to their campaigns. This was a real progressive idea at the turn of the last century. So that progressives would not be bound by those pesky state issues and could do the bidding of other members in the progressive movement in other areas of the country.
Today in our country, look where campaign contributions come from, mostly out of the campaigners district or state, from the friends of:[insert favorite name here] types. Real reform would also be to abolish this heinous practice of cronyism. Wev'e all seen how it has turned out thus far. So, there is my two cents to add. Again, Great site. thank you.

Those who are guilty of treason against the United States should have all their property and riches confiscated to pay off the national debt which they have helped cause. With all the treasonous multi-billionaires/millionaires, movie stars, media owners, professors, polititions, international bankers/businessmen involved in treason, this would probably pay off the debt and leave a surplus.

Luke, I'm glad that we were able to come to an understanding!

I too am very glad to see the People joining the Tea Parties, taking to the streets protesting the encroachment of the government. It's encouraging to see!

If you read Matthew 13, then you know that I am sensitive to the attacks of the enemy, being forewarned by the parable, "The tares and the wheat".

There are many fronts in the battle to reclaim our freedoms. Ours is just one. I am encouraged to see the People standing up everywhere to resist the onslaught of our OWN government to take away our liberties.

All we can do may be little enough!

Thank you for your contribution to this forum.

I'm fighting for the freedom of us ALL, not just for a particular "party" to win a majority. We have one party rule right now and I'm not so sure I trust Republicans to run the show either.

Take good care.

Freedoms Voice, believe me, I'm in no way equating the Tea party people with marxist, far from it. I appreciate with all my heart what these people are doing. I hobbled to a Tea Party on April 15th myself. Haven't been physically able to get to one since, but I've still got it in my plans. And I agree with you that something needs to be done, NOW!

I have to admit, when I saw a sign with the words "power to the people" fear shot through my heart remembering seeing that on signs in the 60's. I was truly trying to warn to be careful of the craftiness of the enemy to infiltrate, distract, divide and conquer.

I have been reading more on your site. I gather now that you are wanting to "alter or abolish" only the usurpers and the mess they've made, and not re-write the Constitution and start over. I think I may have misinterruped (and failed to read it all). I have always thought of the Constitution as our government, not those administrations and politions who abuse, misuse, and try to destroy it. Our Constitution will never work except for a Christian people, because it was written for an obedient Christian nation. May His Kingdom come, his will be done right here on earth as in heaven. Perhaps these may be the final clouds. God always uses people. He has always looked for a man or a people (and has used women like Deborah & Ester) to bring the victory. We are workers together with Him.

May the Lord Jesus Christ guide and keep the Tea Parties, and lead them to a glorious victory for the good of all mankind.

Luke, while I respect your opinion, especially since you've "lived" much of the history of our country that has brought us to this point, I must however strenuously object to you equating the Marxist "Power to the People" slogan, with the People having been granted the Right from GOD, (not man) to alter or abolish government when it becomes destructive of our personal liberties. I hope I misunderstood you at that point. There is a world of difference in what the Marxists were trying to achieve, and what we are trying to do on this website. I think perhaps you've let you imagination run a bit too far away with you.

There is a book at the right margin of my website. Underneath that is a link to a bookstore that contains a book, "Citizen Lawmakers". You should familiarize yourself with it, if you're not already. Perhaps that will assuage some of your fears about what we're trying to accomplish here, and how we intend to go about it.

I'm trying to lay the PEACEFUL groundwork of the modern day equivalent of what the Founders did to the British government in their day when they sought to take away the liberties of the Colonists.

I grew up during the sixties and remember vividly the hippie culture of the day very well. I'm well aware of the corruption that permeates our entire culture as a result of that era.

But there is always a remnant, Luke, to carry on the truth. In talking to many people throughout each day I find that many of them that have never voted, now see their mistake.

If you wonder where I draw inspiration from, you should read Acts 5:12 to the end of the chapter, and Matthew 13.

I have to let you know that after I look at your link, I may delete it. Otherwise, your comments may remain.

Thank you for your input. I always try to learn something from every encounter that I can take away and use. As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens man.

God bless. Take good care.

I wasn't offended by your first post. No need to apologize. I'm very passionate about the theft of our freedoms, and am convinced that now is the time for action, not delay, no matter how "reasoned". Although I think I've given ample "reason" for the action I'm suggesting, especially in light of our freedom to do so comes from none other than God Himself.

One last comment: As far as Republicans who seem to have had some recent "conversion" and are now beginning to stand on principle...Where have they been all along? I don't trust this "fox hole" conversion, although I'm glad to see they're not just rolling over on health insurance reform Obama-style, or Cap and Trade. But given the years of CYA they've all engaged in, and in general neglecting the Will of the People whom they are supposed to serve, this "standing up" now doesn't carry much weight with me for the future, although I'm glad to see it.

I'd like to see some legislation after all this is over sponsored by Republicans along the lines of "we're sorry, states, for intruding on your sovereignty, and we'll retract the claws we've already put into you over the decades." What do you think the chance is of THAT happening, without We the People continuing to press them even after the current crisis is over, given the nation survives it as a free people?

Freedoms Voice, in saying I am against "term limits", I wasn't trying to be offensive. I, too am an abused and hurting American. I used to be a Democrat (until I learned better), then an Independent (until I learned I was still helping throw elections to the Democrats). I lived through the Roosevelt administration and WWII. In the 50's, I remember listening by radio as Joseph McCarthy warned us of the very thing we're seeing happening now, feeling hopeless as the media called it "a witch hunt", and the Senate censored him from speaking. I believed McCarthy was telling the truth (I still do). I lived in fear as our public school teachers and media hung the black cloud of neucular threat and the "cold war' over our heads. I have seen this coming since a child. We were warned by Lenin "First, Russia. then, eastern Europe and the masses of Asia, then Africa. We'll cross the ocean to Central America, then South America and Mexico, by then, the United States of America will fall into our hands like an over-ripe fruit, corrupted from within". One Communist leader once made a statement, "Let me write the music a nation listens to, and I care not WHO writes the laws". Americans still don't seem to see the same thing that happened to Russia has happened here. The Marxists had a "Power to the People" Revolution to overthrow the the Czar. Russia had been a Christian nation for a thousand years, and stood strongly against the spread of Islam. The Marxist Jews who pull the strings of Islam hated Russia just as they hate America. They hate Christianity. Karl Marx was a jew. Saul Alinsky (60's leader, US) was a jew. Marxist jews created the Red Army. For God's sake, study the history of the jews. The 60's Revolution was no accident with its "anti-establishment", drugs, sex, and rock n' roll. It was meant to plant the seeds of destruction. And it did just that.

one critital point is to straighten out our elections (this should have been done long ago), have openness about the charactor of the candidates and party platforms, and openess to the public about who's doing what in government. These criminals can't stand the light shown on them.

Judging by your wanting to "throw'em all out" I'd say you probably come from a non-Republican party. Please look up the congressional records and see what most Republicans are fighting for up there. The media is certainly not going to tell you. When 95.5% of Republicans are standing on the right principals and voting as they should, why not give them credit where credit is due. But, true, they are not enough. We need more of them, not less. We mainly hear only about the 4.5% of Republicans who vote with the Democrats. They are wolves in sheep's clothing, and that's our fault for not doing our homework and voting liberals into office no matter which party they've slivered into. We've got to know who and WHAT we're voting for. Term limits will not solve this problem. Looks like Obama doesn't need a full year to destroy America, does it? This "term limit" crap is not addressing the real issue.

I agree that we definitely need to straighten out the lobbyist problem. If we had a good set rules and financing for exposure time for the candidates to have really good debates without the liberals setting the rules and asking "preferred" questions, this might help a great deal. We definitely need background checks and extensive questionaires for all candidates to make sure they are true to their platform.

I'm adding a site of some Marxist jews for your viewing.

I , too, am a very concerned American. Hope you don't feel hard at me foe disagreeing on that one point. By the way, I am very much FOR the Tea Parties. I meant only to warn to watch for the snakes in the grass.

Power to our wonderful God-given Christian nation, "Power to the US Constitution".

"No King, but King Jesus", War cry of the American Revolution because of the abusive King George of England. This was taught in the old history books.

I should think the reasoning behind the "primary" one is obvious. If people know before-hand that the person they've been electing all along is switching parties BEFORE the election, then they can with hold their vote in the primary, and vote for someone more likely to honestly represent them.

The Full Faith and Credit needs a little more hashing out. That'll have to come later.

I find it a bit stunning that a Right the Founders saw fit to transmit to us in writing...a Right that comes from God Himself to EVERY human being ever created, not just Americans, should be thought of as radical! See how your thinking has been affected by the climate of government dependence that has been forced on us through the decades? Do you care about your freedom no more than that? We can't wait. This is a time for action.

Have you ever thought of the fact that our elected officials would like for us to think that We the People can only take action every 2 to 4 years? They want us to think that we have to put up with the abuse of our liberty, and the only opportunity we have to effect change is during and election! Away with the thought!

We don't have to wait, and the Declaration of Independence states so. We the People can take this Right WHENEVER government becomes destructive of our life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. This is a Right given to us by God, and only He can deprive us of it. To stop this movement the government will have to insist that the Declaration of Independence is NULL AND VOID. Do you get it now? This is not a simple amendment to the Constitution, it's the basic human right of everyone that has ever lived and breathed. It was not given by the government, and can't be taken away. Don't get so hung up in all the details for now.

I've stated these things before in other posts, and I don't have the time to answer every single inquiry over and over. I mean no disrespect, but I may not answer you directly again.

I'm going to make a FAQ page, and begin to refer people to that.

United We Stand - Divided We Fall

God bless America!

PS: God created us as both rational and emotional beings. Emotional appeals are not wrong, especially when founded on the plain truth of the matter. The appeal to sign the petition is based on our Right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, as given by God, and the government has no right to take that away. The appeal is not, "If everything anyone and everyone on our site posts makes sense to you, please sign", or "if you can see how everything is going to work out nicely and neatly in the end, please sign." If you're waiting for THAT to happen, you will never take the kind of ACTION needed to turn this country around. Our Founding Fathers didn't know if they would ultimately succeed either, but they took the action they believed was necessary, based on "Divine help, and the rightness of their cause".

We'll try to work within the system of things where we feel that we can, corrupt as it is. But you have to understand the main reason we're trying to rally the People to action outside of the system, which we plainly have the right to do, is because of the dominant, corrupt two party monopoly which has made changing things through the system extremely difficult, if not impossible.

We the People must begin now to assert ourselves politically, and we must let our elected officials know beyond the shadow of a doubt that we are tired of waiting on them, and that we are going to take peaceful action based on our Right to do so in the Declaration of Independence, however that ends up working itself out in practical terms.

Farewell.

Yes, I missed the primary, but I still don't understand the reasoning.

How does the full faith and credit clause relate to any of these rules? Enlighten me.

I do understand folks' anger, but you want us to sign a petition. I take my signature seriously, so I want to support the underlying concepts in the petition, not only the emotional overtones. Simply put, the rules have to make sense to me. After all, to "summarily dismiss . . . all current office holders of the Federal Government, and to alter the rules of the new Government" is a fairly radical petition.

Thanks for the link; I'll check it out.

Steve, there is link under the book on the main page, "A Voice of the People Reading Resources". There is a book in the store titled, "Citizen Lawmakers". You should acquaint yourself with it.

You need to re-read the one about switching parties. It says before a PRIMARY election. You do know the difference between a primary and the actual election of our reps that occurs in November, right?

Do we think we will get everything listed here? Maybe, maybe not. But what you should really gather from the posts here is just how upset people are with what is going on, not that everyone of them makes "sense" to you, or the difficulty it may take to get any one of these done.

Thanks for your input.

I did take some of your advice, as you'll see.

I don't understand how you intend these "new rules" to be implemented. We have no national referendum process, so these changes have to be enacted through the legislative process. As a republic, our elected representatives control that process. Your new rules require Constitutional amendments (term limits for House and Senate, for example). New rules #2 and 3 require federal laws, passed by Congress and signed by the President. How do you propose to get these laws passed ? Do you want government by referendum?

New rule #4 needs rewording. How about "Senators and Congressmen may not switch parties fewer than 91 days before a scheduled election." This rule accomplishes nothing. It's not okay to change parties before people vote, but okay after they've been elected? What's the logic here?

New rule #5 is a no-brainer. Every bill could easily meet this requirement; and the test would come--as it now does--if the law were challenged in the Supreme Court. So what would be different?

New rule #6 is the most bizarre! You want a nationwide "vote of confidence" referendum on job approval of Congress? Check any poll at any time; Congress' ratings are always in the dumpster. So let's spend money to find out what we already know? To what end? Dismiss the entire Congress? So people in New York will vote out Utah's senators? Crazy.

New rule #7: Everyone has to register in a single 24-hour period? This will increase the opportunity for corruption, not lessen it.

I guess I don't understand what you want.

Luke, in answer to your question as to why I would be in support of throwing out a good statesman along with the others is this:

1. There aren't enough of them to make a difference right now. Let's get more of them in to help them. They can run for re-election. If they're REALLY that good, they'll breeze back in no problem, right?

2. Name one, that you can think of, and tell me where he was when George Bush proposed the unconstitutional "No Child Left Behind' mandate on the States, over-ruling the Sovereignty of States and the People. Please let me know how loud your guy howled over this usurpation of the freedom of the State to order it's own affairs within it's own borders, and I'll consider letting him stay in office.

3. Political corruption is like cancer. In order to get it all, some sound flesh has to be sacrificed, in order for the healing to really begin.

4. It doesn't take years to learn the political law making process. No, it takes years to get to know all the lobbyists, and fill your own war chest. If we enact term limits, we'll get people that want to serve for the right reasons, not just for a fat pension on
the public dime, when they've done so much to destroy this nation while in office.

That's about it.

NOTE: We don't align ourselves with ANY political party or any popular national movement, or any celebrity "news anchor" on tv or radio.

I'm glad to see people getting out and openly protesting the government through the Tea Party. Everything we can do may be little enough.

This is a true grass-roots movement of the People, by the People, and For the People.

My advice to you when you read the posts on the website, the ones you disagree with, you need to see in them the utter disgust and outrage of the People with the decades of abuse and neglect they've suffered from those in office over them. That's how you should understand it, instead of just taking issue with one post or another you don't agree with, although you are perfectly free to do so.

Term limits hurt the Conservatives, not the enemy. Term limits are a distraction from the real issues. Term limits will not effect the Left, since they are simply puppets - its the puppeteers behind the scenes thats pulling the strings, and they have a seemingly endless supply of puppets. Change the puppets as often as you like and the same puppeteers are still pulling the strings. The Conservatives do not have a shadow party behind them, therefore they will be the ones hurt by term limits. They come up for re-election when each term is up, if you want them out, vote them out. Its usually the Libertairian Party (Glen Beck, Ron Paul, are Libertarians) pushing for term limits. Check their platform. Their platform (issues) on freedom of speech (freedom of porn, vulgarity), open borders (they're deceiving you), smoking pot, etc. - essentually the same as Democrats (the main difference is, they don't want a "law, government" telling them when enough is enough). They care nothing for family values. Libertarians usually follow "Thomas Paine" who was not a hero of the Americans after he helped overthrow France in favor of Liberalism and wrote the book, "The Age of Reason" which revealed his anti-Christian sentiments.

Our best policy is to know the real charactor and the past record of those we put into ANY office. And KNOW THAT PARTY'S PLATFORM well. What's the candidate's platform? if they won't fully and freely reveal it, NEVER vote for them. Why would you want to throw a good statesman out of office if he's in there fighting for you. Keep up with who's doing what up there in DC, and you'll know who to throw out and who to keep. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

The Tea parties are a very good thing, but be watchful, Liberals invaded the Tea Parties from the start, to divert attention away from the real issues, just as they invade everything else, pretending to be conservative. Never forget, "Power to the People" is a markist slogan from way back.

I don't agree with the term limits. We have "the ONE" who only needs one term (or less) to destroy us. The Founding Fathers did not put term limits on service. We have a good US congressman in my district. I think we would all cry if we could not send him back. We never have to petition him. He's a conservative Republican. He made clear his platform before he ran for office, and he's always kept his promises. We've re-elected him 4 times. We love him and want to keep him. We might not find a replacement as dependable. BTW, we have jackasses for both governor and senator, and so far, it has done no good to petition either. Candidates know what they stand for before they take office. We should never have to plead with them to MAKE them do right. Bad candidates should NEVER be allowed to draw a paycheck for ruining our country.

1. REQUIRE each party AND candidate to CLEARLY (in common language) make known to the public, their platform and EXACTLY where they stand on each issue. Have in-depth questionaires REQUIRED for EVERY candidate from dog-catcher to President. Have pentalities AND immediate removal (and possibly jail or fine)if they deliberately decieve (that's fraud). We can not tolerate fraud.

2. Make sure each LEGALLY registered voter has a VOTER GUIDE with all information (charactor & experience) about each candidate that will be on their particular ballot.

3. We MUST thoughly cleanse the voter registrations in EVERY state. Then set up "safe" rules for registeration AND voting IN EVERY STATE. Those elected in other states to DC, make laws that effect OUR lives just as much as they effect the lives of those in their own state. When something has the potential of effecting everyone, then the governing laws should be nation-wide (such as election rules).

4.Political "elites" should not be allowed to "arrange" election days differently in different states in order to throw the election to their "favorite sons" before some states are even allowed to vote.

5. No foreign countries such as Mariana Islands, guam, Porta Rico, should be allowed to vote in our elections even though they are US territories. They are NOT states, and most are VERY liberal.

6. In order to help prevent election "theft", we should actually have three elections. Each voter should be legally registered with the party of their choice and vote ONLY in that party's Primary Election (same day, nationwide)to choose THEIR candidate. We should then (a few weeks later) have an "all party" PRIMARY (same day, nation-wide). The two formost candidates would then compete in the Final Election (same day, nation-wide). The final should NEVER have more than two candidates running for the same office. This is how the "little" liberal parties crossover (talking like a conservative), to split the conservative vote, throwing the election to the Left. You can hear their own boasting of this at www.independentvoting.org/video

7. If election fraud is discovered ANYWHERE, it must be be completely cleared up before that election can be settled, and the criminals must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

8. We need laws that make clear to the Media (and everyone else)that "freedom of speech" does NOT include fraud, deliberate charactor assination, treason, nor does it mean, "do your own thing" at the expense of the welfare of the children and families of others.

9. We must clearly define our nation as the Founding Fathers intended. Those who come here and apply for citizenship must want to become AMERICAN, and must realize that we have "freedom of religion" not "freedom of religions" that change America into a multi-culture, multi-gods insane assylum.
